Our Beginning: The Birth of Team Cascade
In 2017, in response to increasing social challenges within Nigerian communities, Team Cascade was established with a clear purpose — to create sustainable social impact through education, leadership development, and value-based engagement.
Our journey began with our first event, #RelationshipPlus – Towards a Value-Added Life. This foundational program addressed critical issues affecting society, including teenage pregnancy, marital breakdown, child abuse, workplace accidents linked to domestic struggles, unemployment, and youth restiveness.
Rather than simply discuss these problems, Cascade created a platform for honest dialogue and practical solutions.
Our Founding Commitments
From inception, Team Cascade made five strong commitments:
- To maintain — and where possible improve — the desire for learning among young Nigerians.
- To organize seminars and workshops that equip and empower young Nigerians through collaboration with indigenous and multinational organizations.
- To create platforms where leadership qualities are tested and refined at various levels.
- To help young Nigerians recognize, value, and apply their talents to foster unity across diverse ethnic communities.
- To encourage a lifestyle of excellence among Nigerians.
These commitments continue to shape every impact story we share.
Our Approach
Through #RelationshipPlus, we engaged teenagers, young adults, families, and community leaders in conversations focused on:
- Building trust within communities
- Reducing teenage pregnancy and child abuse
- Promoting healthy relationships
- Enhancing workplace confidence and productivity
- Understanding the broader societal effects of unhealthy relationships
It was also during this event that the foundation was laid for the #EducateOneChild Program, reinforcing our belief that education remains a powerful tool for long-term community transformation.
Community Collaboration
Team Cascade was built with the support of religious organizations, volunteers, creatives, and community partners who shared the same vision for positive change. Their collaboration proved that meaningful impact happens when communities unite around shared values.
